The Savona mattress is Rest Assured’s entry level pocket sprung option with a great value, prorated spring count of 800 in the king size option. This means that 800 individually wrapped pocket springs support the king size option with a proportional number of springs incorporated into the smaller sizes to provide them same resolution or density. The Rest Assured Savona is not dissimilar in specification to the Rest Assured Genoa mattress although the Savona is rated as medium while the Genoa is firm although both have 800 pocket springs. The surface is padded out with sumptuously soft white fibres that have been quilted to provide optimum padding without moving around.

A woven damask cover encloses the mattress and a stylish black piped trim runs around the edges which has been hand stitched for extra strength. Note that unlike some mattresses, this doesn’t require regular turning although it can be rotated to maintain the springs and disperse forces applied over time. This is because the padding is only present on one side but Rest Assured have cleverly used the bottom of the mattress to include a reinforcing, non-slip sheet that makes this mattress extra suitable for wooden slatted bedsteads by bridging the gaps between slats that pocket springs could previously slip through.

The Savona mattress like all other Rest Assured mattresses will of course also work just as well with divan bases and many are available as a divan bed set in fact. It measures 22cm in thickness and has a 5 year warranty demonstrating what a hard wearing and high quality mattress it is.
