With a clever combination of pocket springs and memory foam, the Millbrook Allure 1000 Mattress offers the ideal balance between support and comfort with an overall medium rating in terms of firmness.

The pocket spring count totals 1000 individual springs and the memory foam layer is 23mm thick. This is slightly thinner than other mattresses but I find it to be the ideal thickness as it still gives that weightlessness feeling that makes memory foam so popular but isn’t so thick that it becomes unsupportive and leads to the back pains that a soft mattress can easily create.

As a high quality manufacturer, Millbrook give a 2 year warranty with the Allure 1000 and despite the fact that this is a non-turning mattress, they still provide side handles just to make it easier to transport. Its these little details that make buying a Millbrook mattress as featured in this review worthwhile. Note that this isn’t available as a single mattress although is offered as a double, king size and superking option.
