When buying your new mattress, you really should double check on the size of your divan or bed frame prior to ordering. You will likely be charged delivery and collection fees if you order the wrong sized mattress and need to return it. Measure the width of your divan and bed frame with a tape measure at a 90° angle and note down the width in both centimetres and inches.

Although most UK based sites and mattress manufacturers give their sizes as either single, double etc. or in imperial units such as 4ft6, mattresses are nearly always made to metric centimetre dimensions. However, the inaccuracies will only be a centimetre or two and won’t make a significant difference as mattresses always have some irregularity due to the padding.
